Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge

Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, has led international efforts to crack down on the illegal wildlife trade, through United for Wildlife, helped deliver an ivory ban in the UK, and continues to support many global initiatives that focus on conservation and ending human-wildlife conflict. He believes that if we are to succeed in our fight to protect the planet, we need to redouble our efforts over the next decade. The launch of The Earthshot Prize comes after two years of work by Prince William and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to develop a project which will support the global effort to protect and restore the environment. In addition to identifying evidence-based solutions to the biggest environmental problems the planet faces, The Earthshot Prize aims to turn the current pessimism
surrounding environmental issues into optimism that we can rise to the biggest challenges of our time.

"From Plastic To Hope"

Are we doomed by plastic? An innovative, disruptive and regenerative technology of non-catalytic pyrolysis based on thermodynamics and quantum mechanics is surfacing as a new solution to sustainably reform our plastic pollution into powerful fuels changing the paradigms of plastic, waste, and energy, oil, and gas.
Surrender to the notion that it can all be saved; we only must turn matter and energy into form.

Andoni Alvarez Helling

Andoni serves as Chief Legal Officer for Petgas, a Mexican environmental technology company that develops and deploys an innovative non-catalytic pyrolysis process to sustainably transform any type of plastic resource into five types of clean, high-quality, high-performance, cost-effective fuels, using applied principles of thermodynamics and quantum physics. An alternative in the creation of cleaner energies as the missing link for circular economies to mitigate plastic pollution harmful to the environment, minimize the use of energy, enhance the added value of fuels and decrease fossil fuels dependency. Prior to Petgas, as a Syntropic Strategist and Legal Counsellor, Andoni has co-founded, lead, scaled-up, and advised several organizations in topics ranging from impact law and finance, environmental development, renewable energy, oil & hydrocarbons, cannabis & hemp, eco-technology, retail, and e-commerce, acting always from his core talents in law, economics, and politics.
After studying Law at Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, participating as a student-scholar in the Faculty of Law, and being the University’s Student Government Vice-President for three consecutive terms, he participated in the Master’s Degree in Government and Public Policy, and he Specialized in Advanced Social, Economic, and Political Studies by the Phoenix Institute at the University of Notre Dame, in the USA.
